Severiano Ballesteros

Profile

Severiano Ballesteros is one of the professionals with the best
track record in the history of golf and he is the image of Valle
Romano. He has 54 European Tour victories, including three British
Opens (1979, 84 and 88), and has played in the Ryder Cup team on 8
occasions. This is not to mention his victories on the American
Tour, including his two Masters victories in Augusta which made him
the first European double winner of the tournament.

Ballesteros has won the Order of Merit on six occasions: 1976,
77, 78, 86, 88 and 91. He has also received many prizes and medals,
including the Príncipe de Asturias Prize (1988) and the Olympic
Order awarded by the International Olympic Committee.

"I would not hesitate to recommend Valle

From the very beginning Seve Ballesteros has been the image of
Valle Romano Golf & Resort and owns a house in the complex. He
has also contributed to this development by using his experience to
provide fantastic advice. 

- What made you support Valle
Romano? 

- The facilities at Valle Romano are located in a unique
setting, with sea views and an unbeatable natural
environment.  Southern Spain is one of the
corners of Europe with the best climate for playing
golf.  The complex also offers you the
chance to have a fantastic holiday or even spend longer periods of
time enjoying the golf, sea and mountains. 
I would not hesitate to recommend Valle Romano.

- With so many resorts on the Costa del Sol, what do you
think differentiates Valle Romano from the
rest? 

- As I said earlier, the setting for Valle Romano is
wonderful and it can be reached easily from Malaga
airport.Valle Romano benefits from its extraordinary
climate.For me, one of the highlights at Valle Romano is
the quality of its facilities.

- As an opinion leader, why would you recommend living
in Valle Romano?

- Peace, good weather and everything you need to enjoy this
special location.  Valle Romano is without
doubt somewhere to relax and enjoy life.  I
myself have a house there and I am looking forward to taking a rest
and spending a few days there soon.

- How would you rate the experience of living in Valle
Romano?

- As I said before, it is an extraordinary
experience.  There, the quality of life is
clear.  Anyone who has the opportunity to
live in that wonderful location is truly blessed.

- You have been so important to the world of golf. What
do you think that Valle Romano, as a brand and through sponsoring
events, has brought to the world of golf?

- Valle Romano has been and continues to be a company which
makes an important contribution to Spanish
golf.  It has sponsored large international
and national golf tournaments and the brand has come to signify
quality.  I am sure that Valle Romano will
continue its involvement in golf.  I am also
convinced that this involvement will continue both at the
professional and amateur levels. 

- How would you describe the Valle Romano golf
course?

- As well as being excellently designed, everything about it
is synonymous with quality and wellbeing.
